Saturday, August 28, 2004 The first annual Geekpad 80s Party last week was a huge success - we were glad so many of you could make it! Everyone did a fantastic job on their 80s outfits, except for a few slackers (you know who you are). Let's face it, it'a always cool to be at a party filled with Madonnas and Magnum PIs and Miami Vice guys, right? In addition to all the trivia prizes we gave out (Pop Rocks, Big League Chew, Lik-M-Aid Fun Dip, 80's cassettes), we gave out a few awards which we wanted to mention here:
For those of you who are not familiar with the Geekpad, you might not know that we usually try to go above and beyond the call of duty. This party was no exception. We chose six 80s movies and filmed our own versions using our friends (the ones who didn't think we were nuts). We also have a seventh movie clip that was shot during the party, in case you were wondering what we really sound like after an entire night of beer-pong. The music we played was selected from the Geekpad's library of over nine-hundred 80's tunes and requests that you sent in. Geekpad Productions presents:
